FWIO’s ROSE (rural ontario sharing education) Program is all about creating awareness of important social, health and environmental issues. WI Members across the province empower, educate and entertain women – from conserving energy, to staying active and reducing garbage and taking their health into their own hands. Workshops, seminars, day-long events, meetings, and informal get togethers involve community members of all ages by sharing special skills, tips and tricks like scrapbooking, knitting, sewing, gardening and photography – just to name a few!
The best thing about the ROSE Program is that it is driven completely by the Members of WI. They look for needs, gaps in their community, they talk to women to find out what THEY want to hear…and then work to make it happen. As long as it involves the public and in educational, it is considered a part of FWIO’s ROSE Program.
